| Raiffeisen Krekova banka is a modern universal bank with the professional and financial backing of the Raiffeisen financial group which is one of the leading banking pillars in Central and Eastern Europe. The bank was founded in 1993 under the name Krekova banka. In 2001 it joined the foreign strategic partner Raiffeisen International. By buying a 97.05 % share in the bank it become the majority owner of Raiffeisen Krekova banka. In relation to Slovenian banks Raiffeisen Krekova banka climbed from 33rd to 9th place. At the end of 2003 it had a 2.27-percent market share.
