| The Bulgarian American Credit Bank was incorporated in 1996 in Sofia. The Bank has a full banking license from the Bulgarian National Bank. BACB’s major shareholder is the Bulgarian American Enterprise Fund (BAEF). BAEF is a US corporation established in 1992 in Chicago, Illinois, pursuant to the United States Support for East European Democracy Act (the SEED Act) Under the SEED Act, the US government provided USD 57 million to BAEF for investments in the Bulgarian private sector. A Board of Directors, appointed by the US President, manages BAEF. The Bulgarian American Credit Bank is a specialist provider of long-term financing to small and medium sized companies in a variety of industries. The Bank also provides mortgage loans to individuals and households. Loan analysts are prepared to meet the specific needs of each client and help them improve their business. The Bank pioneered the mortgage bonds in Bulgaria, issuing the first mortgage bond in Bulgaria in 2001. BACB has been named the most efficient bank in Bulgaria in the last few years (based on the financial statements of the Bulgarian banks published by the Bulgarian National Bank). The Bank is among the most profitable Bulgarian banks by ROA and ROE in the last few years. BACB aims to be among the best in the banking system.
